Jours Fériés Vanuatu 2020

Vanuatu célèbre 14 fêtes nationales chaque année. En vertu de la législation des lois sur la fête nationale, le bureau du président est habilité à ajouter de nouvelles fêtes nationales ponctuelles tout au long de l'année.

La loi sur les jours fériés donne également au gouvernement le pouvoir de reporter les jours fériés du dimanche au lundi suivant. Si ce lundi est également un jour férié, la date de la célébration est reportée au mardi suivant pour une période de vacances prolongée.

La législation du travail de Vanuatu offre aux employés un jour de congé payé pour tous les jours fériés reconnus au niveau national. Si un employé est tenu de travailler le jour férié en raison de ses tâches, le gouvernement exige qu'il reçoive un jour de congé payé à la place du jour férié ou qu'il soit rémunéré au taux majoré pour les heures travaillées.
